Now the reverend (Aziz) Muslims! Cut the word and listen to me! I’ve been aphonic. I buried my mum 3 days ago. I buried my mum and she has reached to the grace (rahmat) of Allah. Perhaps I’ve been aphonic because of this. I’ve not cried! What shall I cry for? It is the command of ALLAH. All of us will die. There is a verse saying “Kullu nafsin dhaikatu’l-mawt: Every soul will taste of death”

YaHu, this is the biggest consolation, what will you cry for after this. If you cried, it would be rebellion to ALLAH. I buried my mum when she was 86. Sadness is happening within human being. Sadness is that: I have been washing her feet by pouring water to her feet and comb her hair when she used to get up for the morning prayers in her service for 40 years, may Allah make this your allotted share (nasib) as well! When she got older, I used to feed her and this used to continue like this everyday. Now I’ve been idle. I’ve been retired from this. That is where the sadness is, my son, that is where the sadness is…

[Prof.Dr.Munir Derman (k.s), Voice Cassette 13, Qurban]

Şimdi Aziz Müslümanlar! Lafı kes de beni dinle!. Sesim kesildi!.

Ağladın mı ALLAH’a isyan olur.
86 yaşında gömdün anamı. Üzüntü oluyor insanda. Üzüntü şu, 40 senedir hizmetinde sabahtan namaza kalktığı zaman hepinize nasib olsun. Suyunu döker ayağını yıkardım işte başını tarardım, şunu ederdim! Yaşlandıkça yemeğini yedirir her gün bu devâm ederdi.
Şimdi o işten aylak kaldım, emekliye ayrıldım, üzüntüsü orada oğlum üzüntüsü orada. [Prof.Dr.Münir Derman (k.s), 13.Sohbet, Kurban]

İman size, beş duygunuza aykırı bir şey göstermez.
Onların sezemediği şeyleri bildirir...
İman, beş duygunuza, aklınıza, zıt bir şey değildir, onların üstünde bir inanıştır.

Faith (iman) does not show something contrary to your five senses. It declares the things that they can not sense...
Faith is not something that is contrary to your five senses and your mind but it is a belief above them.

Aklın muhakemesine her şeyi vurmak istersek, o zaman îman saçma ve gülünç gelir sana...
ALLAH'ı hisseden, akıl değil, kalbdir.
İşte îmânın insana öğrettiği şey de budur.

If we want to consult the mind’s judgement about every thing then the faith (iman) comes ludicrous to you...
What senses ALLAH is not the mind. It is heart (kalb).
Now this is what faith (iman) teaches to human being.

“the Spirit (ruh) exists!” they say...
“the Spirit (ruh) does not exist” they say...
They are both one.
They had a doubt about its existence so they said “(the spirit) does not exist!”
They sensed its existence so they said “(the spirit) exists!”
Can you ever speak of anything that does not exist?
The sprit is such an existent that it seems non-existent!..
A friend of ALLAH said this...
Those who say “non-existent” are the ones who make an effort to adorn the outer.
Those who want to adorn their outer, can not achieve this without ruining their inner...
But adorning the inner is a very hard and difficult work...

[Prof.Dr.M.Derman (k.s), A Friend of ALLAH says that ,Volume II., Rain Drops from the Spiritual World]

“Ruh vardır!” derler…
“Ruh yoktur!” derler…

Give ear to the Rasul (S.A.W)...
The man, who executes His judgement (Judgement of Haqq) not by command, tyranny, ignorance and ordinance but by being remedy, speaks to all creation...

What a pitty that it is not possible to talk to people.
Janab-i ALLAH is speaking to the people who He created by means of a prophet. Seek for its reason.

A friend of ALLAH Says That:
The friend (Dost) here is not the friend who ALLAH has chosen.
It comes to the meaning that this is the friend that has chosen only ALLAH as a friend (Dost).
This friend kisses the sole of the friend that ALLAH has chosen.
He found the expression “A friend of ALLAH says that” strange…
Who?
I would be ashamed to say that.
I ask to the person who thinks and calls him self as the scholar of Religion:
“whose friend are you?..”
“If the knowledgeable ones (man of wisdom), are not the friends of ALLAH or His Auliyah, then there is no friend or Wali of ALLAH. Because ALLAH does not take any one as a friend from the ignorant ones.” This word has come out from the mouth of Imam Al-Shafii..

Buradaki dost, ALLAH’ın seçtiği dost değildir.
Dost olarak yalnız ALLAH’ı seçmiş mânâsına gelen dosttur.

ALLAH Dostu Derki tâbirini garip bulmuş...
Kim?..
Söylemeye utanırım ben.
Sorarım o din âlimi diye geçinen islâm kisvesindeki zâta:
“Siz kimin dostusunuz?..”
“Eğer âlimler, ALLAH’ın dostu evliyası olmasa, ALLAH’ın Velîsi ve dostu da yoktur. Zira ALLAH câhil kimselerden Velî ve dost edinmez.” Bu söz İmâm-ı Şâfiî’nin ağızlarından sudur etmiştir..

Rasul-i-Akram had 8 dirham money in his pocket.
He is going out to the market.
He was going to buy a shirt for himself.
He is running in to a crying jariyah on his way to the market.
“Why are you crying?”
“My family sent me to the market to buy some things.
I had 2 dirham money.
I lost it.
What happens to me, If I go back home, I am crying for this. Because of Fear…”
Rasul-i-Akram gave 2 dirham money to the jariyah.
He bought a shirt with 4 dirhams of the remaining 6 dirhams.
When he was returning home, he saw a half naked man on his way.
He gave the shirt to him.
He bought a shirt with this remaining 2 dirhams.
He run in to the jariyah that he had seen before, on his way to home.
She was crying.
He asked: “What happened?”
“My master, I’ve been late. I am afraid of being beaten”
Rasul-i Akram said “Come, let me take you your house.”
They arrived her house.
When the owner of the jariyah saw Rasul-i-Akram, he got very happy.
Rasul-i Akram explained why this child was late and asked him to forgive him (the jariyah).
“Oh the Rasul of ALLAH! I release and free this jariyah who caused you to visit our house!”
Rasul-i Akram was very glad…
When he arrived his home , he said to the household:
“What an abundant (full of barakat) was this 8 dirham that I had with me.
We prevented the fear of a jariyah.
Then we enabled her to be free.
We dressed a half naked man. And yet the money has not finished.”
I guess now you understand what we wanted to say, now this is the sadaqa (alm) of “Shay’an lillah”. This alm (sadaqa) is an act, towards the one whose mercy is boundless, which is not under the control of the will, and it comes as a result of the love being felt towards ALLAH.

Resûl-ü Ekrem ceplerinde 8 dirhem parası varmış.
Çarşıya çıkıyorlar.
Kendilerine bir gömlek alacaklardı.
Yolda ağlamakda olan bir cariyeye raslıyor.
“Niçin ağlıyorsun?”
“Bazı şeyleri almak için ailem beni çarşıya gönderdi.
2 dirhem param vardı.
Kaybettim.
Eve dönersem hâlim ne olur ona ağlıyorum. Korkudan...”
Sordu:
“Ne oldu?”
“Efendim geç kaldım. Dövülmekten korkuyorum”
Resûlü Ekrem, gel ben seni evine götüreyim.
Eve varmışlar.
Cariyenin sahibi Resûlü Ekrem'i görünce çok sevinmiş.

In summary, ALLAH created the woman utterly different.
In terms of body,
In terms of Spirit (Ruh)
In terms of Feelings,
In terms of "Fadhl" *,
In terms of organ,
In terms of constitution of blood,
In terms of the mineral (metallic) matters found in the make up of their bodies.

Light of RASULULLAH (s.a.w.s), Nur-u Rasulullah , has been transferred to Rasul-i Akram by passing through the Mother.
In honour of this light (Nur), the milk was granted to the mothers.

Compassion, perseverance and some concessions were also given during the pregnancy period...

If men knew how important (exalted) spiritual station (maqam) that the woman holds , they would kiss the soles of their wive‘s feet.
Rasulullah (s.a.w.s) never used to stand up (qiyam) for anyone who came to his presence , not even for the Angel Gabriel.
When Hadrat-i Fatima (r.a) came to his presence, he would stand up immediately.
Imagine the worth of the rank of woman now!
Do not be heedless!
This secret is hidden within this stand up (qiyam)...

*Fadhl: "Fazl" in Turkish. Virtue. Goodness. Merit. A high degree in respect of goodness, knowledge, extra, superiority, faith, ahlaq and wisdom.

Gafil olma!
Bu sırr bu kıyamda gizlidir...

Rasulullah ( sallallahu alaihi wa sallam)’s other children passed away before Rasulullah . Only Fatima (r.a) had passed away 6 months after Rasulullah passed away.
Once, he called Ali (k.v) and Fatima (r.a) to his presence and said :
“ (you) Become a jariyah to Ali, so that he will be a slave to you!”.
This word addresses to all muslim families.

Resûlü Ekrem'in diğer evlâtları, Resûlü Ekrem'den evvel vefat etmişlerdir.

Woman.
House.
Harem ( Dictionary : 1-a part of the house occupied by woman. 2.Wife.)
Family.

Kadın.
Ev.
Harem.
Aile.

They are from the biggest bounties (nimats) given by ALLAH.
A most sacred worshipping masjid in the world.
Woman is the foundation of the family and the government and every kind of “ziynat “ of the house.
Loving the woman is the biggest worship.
This formula is the divine symbol of the unity and oneness of Islam that Rasulullah stated to us.

ALLAH’ın verdiği en büyük nimetlerdir.
Dünyada en mukaddes bir ibadet mescididir.
Kadın; ailenin, devletin temeli, evin her türlü ziynetidir,

If man becomes slave for woman then woman becomes a jariyah for man.
Man has to be (obliged to be) a slave for woman.
This principal of family unity is announced in a veiled clear form by that word of Haji Baktash-i Wali (k.s):

“Keep the control of your hand, your tounge , your waist by (conforming ) to the command of ALLAH!”

Erkek, kadının kölesi olursa; kadın erkeğin cariyesi olur.
Erkek, kadının kölesi olmak mecburiyetindedir.
Bu esas aile birliği, Bektaş-ı Velî’nin şu sözünde perdelenmiş açık berrak bir sûretde haykırılmıştır:
“Eline
Diline
Beline
ALLAH’ın emrine göre hakim ol!”

This word addresses to man.
Because, woman is “ziynat “ and “nimat”.
Man protects the woman who is a trust and gift of ALLAH, from every thing . That is why he claims responsibility (to be sahip: to guard and defend the one who he claims responsibility for. He thinks of her requirements etc. ) for his “harem” .
Woman is the foundation of the family and the government in the harem.

She is not the prisoner of man…
Do not break up your house (family)!
Endure (show patience) (her) troubles and afflictions (worries, distress)!
Feel the beauty and pleasure within this patience!
Living is already this…

Erkeğin esiri değil...
Evinizi bozmayın!
Sıkıntı ve dertlerine tahammül edin!
Bu sabırdaki güzellik ve zevki duyun!
Yaşamak zâten budur...

“You need to be a doctor to understand why the sugary matters affect the diabetes.
First study the medicine , and then understand after that!..
One needs to be a doctor of spirituality in order to understand the reasons of prohibitions (in religion).
They (spiritual doctors) are the friends of God (walis) who reached to the Truth when they are in the world.
A doctor only says to a diabetic patient that the sugary matters will have a (negative) effect on him and he doesn’t make an explanation (why). Even if he did , the patient can not understand.
Prophets are like that too. If (the prohibitions) are explained, they could not be understood.
One needs to reach that rank and spiritual station (maqam and martaba), and to that degree and expertise.
Therefore, to find explanations by reason and logic will not work and cause you to go astray!..”

Şeriat âlimleri ALLAH’ın isim ve sıfatlarının kapıcılarıdır. Velîler ALLAH’ın Zâtının kapıcılarıdır.
Bu farkı şu küçük hikâye ile söyleyebiliriz.
Bir şeriat âlimi zengindir. Fakir bir velîye ihsanda bulunmak istemiş, velî şöyle mukabele etmiş:
"Kendi kazancımı bile vücudum kabul etmiyor nerede kaldı başkasının!."

Alims of Shariat are the door keepers of the names (asma) and attributes (siffat) of ALLAH.
Waliullahs are the door keepers of the „Dhat (Essence-Reality-Person)“ of ALLAH [1].
We can say this difference by that little story.
An alim of shariat is rich. He wants to be in kindness ( ihsan )to a faqir (poor [2]) waliullah, and in answer to this the waliullah:

GLOSSARY:

[1] Dhat (Essence-Reality-Person of ALLAH) <> Sifat (Attribute) <> Asma (Names) <> Ashya (Matter, Things)
[2] Faqîr (A; lit., "poor person," "beggar"; spelling in T, fakir, fakIyr): the most common Arabic word meaning a Sûfî. It was translated into Persian as "darwêsh." It has the inward meaning of spiritual poverty [faqr] in sufism, as in the Qur'ânic verse, "O men, you are poor [fuqarâ] in relation to God, and God is the Rich" (Qur'ân 35:15). In Persian, it also came to mean "free from vanity," "self-effacing," and "retiring." In the Mevlevi tradition, it is used as part of the observance of spiritual courtesy [adab] to avoid sounding egotistic by using the words "I" or "me"-- by saying, instead, "we" [in P. mâ] or "this faqîr," meaning "this humble beggar who has nothing and is nothing." If a Mevlevi said "I" or "me" by mistake, it was customary to say, "Accursed egotism! [in T, benlighime lanet] (I mean) faqîr."

Her insan iyidir. Yalnız arayıp bulmak lâzımdır.
Eğer sende iyi isen, yoksa bulamazsın.
Meselâ insanın bir anda şurada veya burada olması "Tayy-i Mekân" değildir.
Asıl iş, nefsin çirkin sıfatlarından tay ederek. Allah’ın yanına varmaktır.

[Prof.Dr.Münir Derman (k.s), Allah Dostu Der ki , SıRR]

[1]Tayy-i mekân : Mekânı ortadan kaldırmak. Bir şahsın bir anda muhtelif yerlerde görünmesi.
[2]Tayy : Bükmek, sarmak, dürmek. * Kaldırmak. *Toplanıp gitmek * Geçmek. * Açmak. * Çıkarmak. Bir haberi ketmetmek. Kasten açtırmak. * Atlama, üzerinden geçme.

Every human being is good. However, you need to seek and find. If you are good too!. Otherwise you can not find.
For instance, it is not “Tayy-i- makan [1] “ for a human being to be here and there. The real work is to get near ALLAH by making tayy [2] from the evil attributes of self (nafs).

[Prof.Dr.Münir Derman (k.s), A friend of ALLAH says that, Secret ( SıRR)]

GLOSSARY:
[1] Tayy-i Mekan: To remove the place. For a person to appear in various places at a moment.
[2] 1.To twist, bend, wrap, roll up, 2.to lift , 3.to pass, 4.to leap, 5.to open, 6.to conceal a news deliberately, 7.to draw

İki türlü aşırılık vardır:
Mantığı hiç hesaba katmamak.
Ve mantıktan başka bir şey tanımamak.

There are two excesses :
Never taking the logic (reason/mind/rational thinking) in to account.
And not recognising anything but logic .

Yollar geniş ve serbest, fakat siz, görmüyorsunuz.
Nefis, dünyada: “Yap!” der.
Öbür âlemde: “Niye yaptın?” diye sana çıkışır.

The roads are wide and free but you, you don’t see.
The self (nafs) tells you :”Do it!” in this world.
In the other world, it scolds you by saying “Why did you do it?”...

Never leave the righteousness..

Don’t forget that there is no difference between being drowned 10 fingers beneath the water and at the depths of thousands of meters beneath the sea.

Note: Dr.Munir Derman (k.s) uses a unit of measure called "karış" to define about 10 fingers width. Karış is the distance between the tip of the little finger and the tip of the thumb when all fingers of the hand are stretched outwards. This measure changes in accordance with the size of one's hand.

Çöllerde gezerken bir zenci gördük.
Yanında ALLAH dendiği zaman simsiyah yüzü bembeyaz oluyor, sonra tekrar yerli yerine dönüyordu...

We have seen a black person while we were roaming in the deserts
When it is said “ALLAH” beside him his pure black face was turning into pure white then it was turning back again...

ALLAH, Peygamber sevgisini, fakirlik hâli ve belâ takip eder.
Belâ karşısında dağ gibi olmalısın...

State of poority (faqr [1]) and the trouble (belâ [2]) follow the love of ALLAH and the Prophet.
You need to be like a mountain against the trouble (belâ).

GLOSSARY:

[1] Faqîr (A; lit., "poor person," "beggar"; spelling in T, fakir, fakIyr): the most common Arabic word meaning a Sûfî.

[2] Belâ: Affliction, tribulation, worries, trouble, tests and trials, misfortune

Release an ox in a huge city, (for instance) in Baghdad city. An ox. Let it go from one end to the other end (of the city). There are such palaces in Baghdad, amazing things. It doesn’t see any of them, but it only sees the water melon skin on the street. Purify your self, then the veils will be removed spontaneously my son!..

Ölümden korkulmaz.
Bu korku insanı tedirgin ettiği gibi.
Aslına dönüş endişesini doğurur.
Ölüm karşısında aklın sükut etmesi lâzımdır.
Takdir ile uğraşmak HAKK’a isyana yol açar.
ALLAH’ın emrine sebep aranmaz.
Ölüm zulüm değildir.
Buradaki emir bildiğimiz emir de değildir.
Kâinâttaki ahengin icabıdır...
Güneş doğar, batar.
Niçin böyledir buna sebep aranmaz. [Prof.Dr.Munir Derman (k.s), Su II]

Death is not something to be afraid of
As well as making man anxious,
That fear gives birth to anxiety of returning to the ASL (real-essence-origin).
Mind/Reason (AQL) needs to be silent across the death.
Messing around with the Divine Decree , causes rebellion to the Truth (HaQQ).
You don’t seek a reason (sebeb: reason) for the command of ALLAH (God).
Death is not a “zulm
[*]”.
The command here is also not a command that we know.
It is the necessity of the harmony in the universe.
The sun rises and sinks.
You don’t seek reason for Why it is like that. [/color] [Prof.Dr.Munir Derman (k.s) , Water II]

[*] Zulm: It is the Arabic word used interchangablely for cruelty or unjust acts of exploitation, oppression, and wrong doing, whereby a person either deprives others of their rights or does not fulfill his obligations towards them.
In the Islamic context injustice or acts of cruelty are attributed to human acts and not to Allah:
ALLAH does not do injustice to anyone. It is the people who do injustice to themselves (11 : 101).

[Prof.Dr.Münir Derman (k.s), ALLAH dostu der ki, 4.Cilt]

Do not make an effort to prove your beliefs!
The proof is in seeking unknowns whose existences are in doubt.
There isn’t anything meaningless (having no Ma’Na [1]) in the world whether the mind is able to understand it or not!
Even the meaninglessness has a meaning (ma’na).
Believing in the unseen (ghayb [2]) means “to know the beyond of the limit that mind does not reach”.
That means to make an effort not to get out of the limit of mind.
So that it will not be an insult on mind.
It becomes a rebellion against the ONE who has given the mind to you as a beneficience (ni’mat [3]) and that is disbelief “Kufr [4]"
That is why the Qur’AN al-Kareem (Qur’an of the Most Generous ONE) was sent down (revealed) for those who believe in the unseen (ghayb) [5].
Therefore ;
“Do not attempt to tell lie no matter what , even if the only hope to get away is that !” said Rasul-i Akram.
