SHARIAT-TARIKAT-MARIFAT-HAKIKAT

(Excerpted and translated to English from Kulihvani Divani – Insan)

One day, While my soul was in a state(hâl) of being naked and helpless;
I said to our Master Prophet Muhammad Mustapha (sas):

“My Master!.. What is your Shariat, Tarikat, Marifat and Haqiqat?..
I have read, listened to them and thought of them so many times that my mind is confused. Everybody is saying something :

“What I am saying is true, my shaikh beats your shaikh!…” they say..
They are saying so many things to people and making them do things…
With their states , people are like the waters flowing to the sea of death…
They have minds(‘aql) as well and they believe in the hereafter (akhira) too…
They’ve got confused. They don’t know what to do!…
The representatives of the Worthy Friends and Tariqat Pirs today are not clear whether they are auliyahs(friends of Allah) or ashkiyas(bandits).
They have occupied those paths…
They are putting the crown of Ghaus-ul-Azam to their unborn grandchildren and they are granting throne to them!…
While tasawwuf is suffering in agony in the claws of personal and nafsanic desires,
Your real unspoilt Muhammadi Lovers have worn the dress of public, mixed with the public and they have hidden themselves amongst them…
This place has remained to the unmerciful and muhabbatless ones.
Qadar Qadarullah, time of akhir!…”

I whimpered by saying so many words like that.
As a result, what was written on the notebook of my heart:

“Akwali Shariati: My Shariat are my WORDs.
A’mali Tariqati: My Tariqat are my AMALs.
Ahlaqi Marifati: My Marifat is my AHLAQ.
Akhwali Haqiqati: My Haqiqat are my spiritual states(Hâl)”

his saying and prescription have been divinely inspired(ilhâm) to my heart. What I understand from this is:
1-Shariat-i Muhammadiyya: are the words and wahy of Rasulullah (sas). Ayats and his Sahih Hadiths.
2- Tariqat-i Muhammadiyya: are the AMALs, actions and Sunnat-i Saniyya of Rasulullah (sas).
3- Marifat-i Muhammadiyya: Morale, conduct and ethics(Ahlaq) of Rasulullah (sas). Hulki’l Aziym. Ahlaqullah…
4- Haqiqat-i Muhammadiyya: Spiritual states(Hâl and akhwal) of Rasulullah (sas). They don’t fit within the words but are known when experienced e.g.”Kabe Kawsayn”.

The person understanding that he is a Muhammadi will need to hear the word, action, ahlaq(morale) and hâl(spiritual state) of Rasulullah (sas) and conform to them.
This is the essence of the test of servanthood.

To WAKE them up – To SOBER them up, and To give NEWS!
are the single, unique and perfect occupation of Muhammad (sas).
In fact, all Nabis and Rasuls were ordered to do TANZIR(warning and admonishing).

Quadruple system of TABLIĞ, TANZIR, TABSHEER, TASHEED

TABLIĞ( Tebliğ ): To transport, transmit, communicate and convey. “Belağ” means the beautiful expression fitting for the purpose. Being appropriate, right, just, and true for the people who are addressed to. A right word said in the right place for the appropriate spiritual state.

TANZIR(inzâr):to frighten , intimidate, warn, awaken and admonish by informing that the end will be bad…

TABSHEER(Tebşir): To give news(good or bad) to the ones who pay heed to the Divine Laws. To give the news of JaNNat to those who obey and act accordinly, and to give the news of JahaNNam to those who disobey.

TASHEED(Teşhid): Being witness to those both who obey and conform , and to those who disobey and become defiant.
