KAABAH OF SERVANTHOOD (ABDIYYAT) AND ENLIGHTENMENT (KAMALAT)
Kul İhvanî
Every created being in the form of a human being, who has mind, Who is reached maturity (Rushd) mentally and physically, who is free and heard the Muhammadi statement (announcement),
is tasked to be,
is obliged to be,
is in need to be,
is sentenced to be
a servant (Abd) to Rabbulalameen ( Rabb of the worlds), who has created us and the system we are living in.
What is within the world is also within Adam.
Sunnatullah applying to the cell, also applies to the sphere as well [1].
In our test of servanthood, it is Rasulullah (SAW), bringing the divine knowledge , teaching to us and educating us within Muhammadi manner (adab).
Lets see the Kaabah of Servanthood (Abdiyyat) and Enlightenment (Kamalat) once more with the eyes of our hearts, in
the steps of Dawran-Sayran-Jawlan-Hayran [2] of Every Human Nafs,
and in the progress of Sayru Solook (Spiritual journey) within that test room.
Our Kaabah of Identity and personality
In this kaabah of our identity and personality, which has 6 faces 8 corners and 12 edges,
In finding, knowing, being and witnessing by living the 7th way which is facing our “Essence”,
Lets hear the exalted voice of Rasulullah Muhammad (A.S) calling “US” to “BIRR”[3], and conform to that voice inshaallah…
Sayran(Arabic): to be watching around and moving around. Sayr (a): An Arabic term meaining going, moving around, walking, making motion. In Tasawwuf, making sayr means to watch the dawran and to ascertain the origin and the fact of material(ashya). Term “SayrAN” is to watch the “AN”.
Jawlan(Arabic): not being able to stop and moving around. Making Tawaf in “AN”. Tawaf means to circle around the Kaaba. This is like your jugular vein , being in infinite dancing state and resonance with the ONE who is closer(yakîn) than the center of the Aqdas of Nur-u Mim .
Hayran (Arabic): to be filled with admiration, admirer, fan.In tasawwuf, it is to participate to sha’an in “AN” and live just as much as a lightening strikes.
[3] Birr (Arabic): Reflection of divine beauty, kindness and “hayr (good)” on the servant (abd). “Birr” is facing the public and taqwa is facing the Haqq.

1- The Base :
Being called the “Asfali Safileen”, and the lower limit of the servanthood, the ones who fall below this limit are the Zaleems [4], Qafeers [5] , munafiqun and mushriqun [6] who make “zulm” [7] to themselves (their nafs) and betray their own minds. They become “Balhum Adallun…” They go below the level of an animal. They would prefer falsehood and evil, and choose Pharoh, who claims to be Rabb. Even the satan does not claim to be a Rabb. May Allah protect…
[4] Zaleem (Arabic): Tyrant. The one who makes zulm (see below Zulm)
[5] Qafeer (Arabic): The one who is covering or concealing HAQQ. The one who does not see the truth and denying ALLAH.
[6] Munafiqun and Mushriqun (Arabic): Hypocrites (The ones who break their covenant. Betrayers.) and idolators (The ones who assign partnership to ALLAH)
[7] Zulm (Arabic): Putting something to a place where it does not belong to. Injustice and infliction. Zulmat in Arabic means darkness. Human nafs has the ability to go up or down between ILLIYYOON and ASFALEEN. In a way making zulm to their nafs means you waste it and burry it in to darkness and put it in the direction of ASFALEEN. If the human nafs is purified, it shines. Nafs is like a sponge, so it can soak up good or evil qualities. It is us who needs to use the sponge in right way. A wise person dips his sponge in the paint bucket of ALLAH and his sponge gets the colours of ALLAH ( SIBGATULLAH), as it says in the verse,
” We take our colour from Allah, and who is better than Allah at colouring. We are His worshippers.”[Al-Bakara 02/138].
This means the person gets the beautiful moralities and qualities of ALLAH. However the person making Zulm to his nafs , dips his nafs in to evil qualities and he gets coloured with evil qualities then he stays in darkness (Zulmat).

2- First Face :
The Face of Shariat-I Muhammadiyya: It is the face, which is a door giving entry to inside and the essence. The walk of servanthood starts at that Red line of Tawaf [8] and Namazgah (Musalla: The path of “Sila” which is the “Sall”) of our ancestor. “Ibrahim (A.S)” is here. At this face, the word, I’tikad and submission are the foundation. The one who gets a hold on it’s door can not be disturbed, and this place is the place of necessitation (Mustalziym),”Baynahu, Baynallah…The servant is with his RABB…” The imam becomes imam to jamaat in here. The starting point of Tawaf and ending point of Tawaf meet at the same point and it is here.
It is the starting Fatiha (starting key). It is the must of must (Shart ul Shart). Salati Tawaf Shukur is performed here etc. It overlaps one-to-one with Kaabatullah.
[8] Tawaf (Arabic): Tawaf means performing seven circuits of the Ka’abah, starting from the position in which the Black Stone is on one’s right. At the end of each circuit the Black Stone should be kissed, if possible, and if not, then symbolically.
3- Second Face :
The face of Tariqat Al –Muhammadiyya (Path of Muhammad): The way and face where Hijr-i Ismael (A.S) is: Hijrat cell (graves) of Ismael (A.S) and his mother Hajar are here. Surrounded by walls around, considered to be the inner part of Kaabah, they are in rest where salah and tawaf are not performed…
Hijr : Seperation and hijran.
Hijrat is like that…
Separating one’s self from the customs done blindly and randomly by public and making hijra (migrating) to the Firqa –I Najiyya (The group or path of Salvation), which is the path of Muhammad (Tariqat Al-Muhammadiyya)…
Being purified and clarified with the Sunnat-i saniyya flowing from the golden gutter, which is in the heaven of Kaabah, and doing good deeds (amal-i- saliheen) working like Rasulullah (SAW), who is also Abdullah…
Making serious and sincere effort…
Listening to the practice (sacrificial) of servanthood of Ismael (A.S) from Qur’an-I Kareem…
To get the submission and direction from the forefather and “asl” [9] of Rasulullah (SAW)…
Who is sacrificed to who?
Who is cutting, who is cut and who is getting cut?
Identity of identification? (e.g. an identity trying to identify and know him self)
I am presenting these as inable pleasures.
The aim is “Muhabbatullah”…
And Muhabbat-I Rasullullah (SAW)…
A courtesy of hearing, conforming and understanding…
[9] Asl: origin, essence, root, primal point of creation, base, deep, main.
4- Third face:
Face of Marifat al- Muhammadiyya:The way of Ruqn-i Yemenian: Although it is called the side of Yemenians in zaheer[10], It is also right to say Ruqn-I Ashab al-Yemin in it’s bâtın[11]. In here, Ruqn means the strong side, main and foundation pillar, which is the moral field of Rasulullah (SAW), and it is real and appropriate (fit). The grey stone , which Rasulullah (SAW) used to salute, is here. It is the area (field) of Salam and salamat, moral and muhabbat!
[10] Zaheer: Apparent, outwardly
[11] Batin: Hidden, esoteric, inner, spritual
5- Fourth face :
Being Haqiqat-i Muhammadiyya[12], it is the face and way where “Al- Hajaru’l Aswad”[13] is. It is the world of “Hal” that is the secret between only the owner of the “hal” and his lord (Rabb).
Hajaru’l Aswad as symbol of secret :
Pitch black stone is in the colour of Noor-u Muhammad and is a destroying secret of Ahmadiyyat[14], which swallows all other colours than it’s self. They also call it Secret of Suwayda… Blackhole…
Prayer of the pilgrims in this section, meets with Rasulullah (SAW)’s prayer and :
We all say
“Allahumma Rabbana atina fid-dunya hasanatan wa fil ‘akhirati hasanatan waqina ‘adhaban-nar wa adhilna’l-jannati mael abrar. Ya Azizu ya Gaffar ya Rabba’l-Alamin”
Oh my Allah, our Lord (Rabb)! Give us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and defend us from the torment of the Fire! And grant us entry in to paradise with the righteous (Abrar). Ya Aziz (The Victorious), Ya Ghaffar (The Forgiving) Ya Rabbul Alamin (Lord of the worlds)…”
We are Muhammadi…
Tawaf of Tawheed was completed , It has been La-ilaha-illa-ALLAH.
Ilm, Irada, Idraq and Ishtiraq[15]…
[12] Haqiqat-I Muhammadiyya (Arabic): Truth of Muhammad. Noor-u-Mim. Light of Muhammad. First light created from the light of Allah (Noorullah).
[13] Al-Hajaru’l Aswad (Arabic): Black stone around the Kaabah.
[14] Ahmadiyyat (Arabic): Ahad is “sıfatullah”. Adjective of ALLAH which belongs to Zatullah. This Name got a letter “mim:m” and appeared as Ahmad (Zat-I Rasulullah). Ahmad means the one who makes the best “hamd”. So adjective , “Ahmad” , is a private name for Rasulullah (SAW). A person can not go to Ahadiyyat. He can go to the level of Ahmadiyyat as a guest of Rasulullah (SAW) by living the Marifatullah.
[15] Ilim: Knowledge, Irada: Self-control, Will power, Idraq:comprehension and
Ishtiraq: Participation.
6- Top face (Tawheedi Ceeling) :
ILLIYYOON, Heaven of absolute benovelence of ALLAH (IHSANULLAH)
So, other than the Kaabatullah of this world, there are 7 Kaabas in 7 layers of heaven in ILLIYYOON…
Baithu’l-Ma’mur, Baithu’l-izzat……
Beyond that, Baithu’l –Arsh….
While below the base of our Kaabah of servanthood is to fall below shaiytan (character of pharoh), the ceiling of it is to be Khaliph of ALLAH (Khaliphatullah)…
May ALLAHU ZU’L-JALAL grant US to use our other lataifs[16] in this way as well … Amin…
[16] Lataif : Subtlety of man. There are traditionally distinguished 7 subtleties of man. These are illustrated as below:
7- Kernel (Inner) Face :
Fuad, Lub (kernel), Lubbu’l-Lub (kernel of kernel) and Aqdas one within the other towards the point of AQDAS (center)…
We are not adjudicating that these are exactly like this. “Zawk” is what we are only getting, “zawk”…
In Arabic , the word “Zawk” is from the root of the verb, “to taste “. From the zawk as in the ayat :
“Kullu nafsun zaikatul mawt*…: Every nafs will taste of death…” [Ali Imran 03/185].
We are getting the zawk of zuhurat …
Well, we had woke up to Haqq and Hayr when we reunited with Nur-u Muhammad just as the coming of electricity…
In the center of our kaabah of servanthood (NOT Kaabah of SELFHOOD), absolute Muazzin Muhammad (PBUH) :
Is reading the adhan of
Declaration of Tawheed [17],
Warning (Tanziyr) and Good News (Tabshir) [18],
and we are listening to it with the ear of our soul.
Lets listen , hear and conform to eternal (Azali) Adhan which is recited in the way, form and condition that I represented inably, in the center of our zaheer and batin kabaah of servanthood-enlightenment, and in everything and everybody, in every time, every place and every state. [17] Tawheed: Unification. To make something one, or to assert the oneness of something.
[18] Tanziyr and Tabshir: . Tabshir is to give glad tidings and good news. Tanzyir is to give a warning. We can see the meaning of these two words in the following verse:
“Surely We have sent you with the truth as a bearer of good news and as a warner, and you shall not be called upon to answer for the companions of the flaming fire.” [Al-Baqara 02/119]
[19] Sha’anullah: Just as ALLAH says in the Qur’an:
” All those who are in the heavens and the earth ask of Him; every moment He is in a state (of glory). “ [Ar-Rahman 55/29].
In Arabic of this verse, “…….qulla yawmin huwa fiy şha’nin. “ The term “Sha’nin” is used to define that every moment ALLAH destroys everything and re-makes them. He says Be! And everything becomes (Al-Nahl 16/40). It is like a pulsating at every moment. That is why we are created again and again at every moment. The term moment in here is an infinite short moment. When we look at a bulb , we see the light emanating from it. However, the light within it is flickering so many times in a short time which can not be detected by our eyes. It is on and off. ALLAH does the things so quickly. His works are so fast that in every moment he is destroying and re-creating the things with His will power in a chain of destiny but we can not understand it. This state of ALLAH is called “Sha’anullah”.

I tried to translate this work in to English from Turkish as best as I could. I seek refuge to ALLAH from my mistakes in translation. There are so many difficult words which have deep meanings. Some of them are from Persian, Arabic and Ottoman Turkish. Some has no equivalence in English language. Direct translation could cause the meaning to be lost. So I tried to explain these words rather than doing direct translation. People who ponder over these meanings with sincerity will find more knowledge in this short documentation inshaallah…

[1] Sunnatullah applying to the cell, also applies to the sphere as well: Sunnatullah is the law of Allah or course of Allah. Law of Allah applying to the cell will also apply to the whole as well. Particle resembles the whole. What applies to micro will apply to makro as well.
