I AM WITH THE ONE WHOSE HEART IS BROKEN FOR MY SAKE
by SULTAN VALAD (k.s)
In a qudsi hadith, it is said “I am with the ones whose heart is broken” [1]. Broken heart causes closeness to Allah. As Mustapha(Prophet Muhammad SAW) is more humble than anybody else, his closeness to Allah is greater than anybody else. Because, kafeers(infidels) had brought the indecency and treachery to the highest level so much that they hung the dirty stomach of a sheep on his venerable neck.
Dirt was dripping from the stomach everywhere on him. When the children, young and old men, were dancing around him by shouting and playing drums, and mocking him by laughing at him, hearts of Sahabah [2](May Allah be pleased with them all) were broken because of this and they said to the messenger of Allah by grouping around him
“Oh the messenger of Allah! You are not only the khatam- ul- anbiya [3]; you are even a reason for the creation of this alem [4]. People got destroyed with the hatred of all the prophets for them.
Like Noah, Hud, Lot and Salih and the tribes of others, some of them were destroyed by storms, some changed their forms and turned to monkey and bears. Some were raised up to sky and turned upside down and left down from the sky. You are bigger than any other prophets in terms of degree and vilayyat [5]. The arrongancy of this tribe has not even been seen in the period of the other prophets.
You say “They have never hurt any prophet as much as they have hurt me (hadith)” , please pray and let this arrogant and indecent tribe to be destroyed.
Upon these words the prophet said this “Oh Sahabah! lift your hands up so that I will pray.“ The prophet lift up his hands to sky as well, and turned his face towards heaven by saying
” Oh Allah! show them their way, make them awake and forgive them! Because they know not, they are not aware“.
Sahabah said ” We are telling you to curse them, you are praying for them“, after that this verse was revealed :
“And thou (standest) on an exalted standard of character.” [6]
As moustapha, was more humble and beaten his ego more than anyone, there is no doubt that he was more resistant, patient, elite and more friendly to public, and merciful to the enemy.
