DO NOT ADD DIRT IN TO WATER

Hadrat Shibli was coming to Baghdad.
no water, and you were about to die due to your thirst, and if some one
came with a glass of water and said to you that I will give that glass of
water to you if you give me the half of your possessions(Mülk), would you
give it ?“
Hadrat Shibli asked, “Well Ok, now If you drank this water but you could
not get it out of your body, there is some illness in your body and you can
not pass it out, if a doctor came and said to you that he could take this
water out of you but he could take the other half of your possessions,
would you give it ?“
Hadrat Shibli looked at him and said “In this case, DO NOT EVER TRUST YOUR
POSSESSIONS(Mülk) WHICH ARE NOT EVEN WORTH OF A GLASS OF WATER”.
Khaliph started to cry and asked Hadrat Shibli “Could you give me one more
nasihhat(advise)?”
Hadrat Shibli said ,”You are responsible from the WATER as the head of
WATER. Allahu T’ala made it your naseeb to be the guardian of the WATER of
ISLAM which has been flowing since the time of our blessed Prophet Muhammad. Do
not allow dirt to be added in to this water. Do not allow any BID’AT to
enter in to it and keep it Clean.“
