AL-HAQQU- THE TRUTH

AL- HAQQU (J.J) [Qur’an Ref: 22/62]  (dhatī)( اَلْحَقُّ) : the Truth. His Existence and Divinity is right, real, true, necessary and most appropriate. AL-HAQQ is the One whose existence is unchanging, is worthy of being worshipped, and is the owner of every truth. His existence is obligatory and real. AL-HAQQ is the Absolute TRUTH who is the source of all truths.

 

اَلْحَقُّ        (Al-Haqq): ALLAHU DHU’L-JALAL whose existence is Dhati(peculiar to Himself, to His Reality and Essence), unchanging and undisputed.

حَقَّ          (Haqq): Being victorious in Truth over an opponent. Understanding the truth of the act. The work being fixed, unchanging and right.

حَقَّقَ         (Haqqaqa): Effectuate, Actuate, Carry Out, Execute.

تَحْقِيقاً      (Tahqiqan): Confirmed and firmly .

تَحَقَّقَ       (Tahaqqaqa): Knowing the truth of the act.

اِسْتَحَقَّ     (Istahaqqa): To deserve something. To have a right to something. 

اَلْحَقُّ        (Al-Haqqu): True, Justice, Islam, Possession(Mulk), wajib, Loyal and worthy. 

اَلْحَقِيقَةُ    (Al-Haqiqatu): the Truth(Haqiqat). Something being true undoubtedly, undisputedly. The opposite of „metaphor“ being used in the meaning as „ the real-actual-origin(Asl)“. Inner face of something.

 

Understand this very well that real essence of all Divine Names is within ALLAHU DHU’L – JALAL… AL-HAQQU(j.j) in the Self-Essence-Reality of ALLAH (Dhatullah) and the “HAQQ” we say is not same. But We were commanded to say AL-HAQQU(j.j) in accordance with Our capacity.

 

Imagine an electricity current with infinite voltage in Dhatullah…

The thousands of volts of current is coming to Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam)’s Heart which is like a transformer. This current is regulated and reduced to 220 V which is the suitable level not to burn the resistances(minds) of the people. From there this is distributed to Ummah in accordance with their Naseeb(with Discretion of Haqq) and Qismat(with their effort) .   Nurullah(Light of ALLAH), Nur-u Muhammad(Light of Muhammad [1]) and the Ruhi Nur(Spiritual Light) that is Nimatullah (Favour and beneficience of ALLAH) reaching to us!… Think about every Divine Name within this way!… Read the Qur’AN by understanding, then you will see this!…

 

When the meaning (ma’na [2]) and secret(sirr) of AL-HAQQU dawns like sun in the aNFuS (to inner and essence) by the way it was described above,

When he knows Lord of the Worlds(Rabbu’l Alamiyn) as HAQQ(Truth), whose Being and Divinity(Uluhiyya) is Absolute Truth(Haqq) and ever changing, and the source of every truth, and worthy of worship,

He will understand this by being complete (mutmain) that he is rich (ghani) to the things that the creation can give to him, but he is infinitely needy to the TRUTH [AL-HAQQU(j.j)]. He turns his life to journey Within TRUTH(HAQQ) –From TRUTH(HAQQ)-To TRUTH(HAQQ)- With TRUTH(HAQQ) !… He remembers(Dhikr) truly the Tawheed(Oneness/Unity) being Truth of the TRUTH (Haqqu’l –HAQQ) in every where, every time, every state and roams!…If the servant is deserved,  he becomes the manifestation place(madhar) for the secret of Tawheed which is TRUTH of the TRUTH (Haqqu’l-HAQQ), and becomes ‘Ahlullah, and he makes Dawrân-Sairân-Jawlân-Khairân [3] in TRUTH(HAQQ), from TRUTH(HAQQ), to TRUTH(HAQQ) , with TRUTH(HAQQ)…He becomes one of HAQQ LOVERS(Ashikan)…

HAQQ: To be true, immutable, unchanging, and right in every place, at every time and in every state. Haqq is always the opposite of Falsehood(Batil).  Haqq is the one being truth(haqq) for every thing and everybody.

The word , ‘Haqq’ is repeated in 247 places in the Qur’AN. This word is also included within so many ayats in relation with ALLAHU DHU’L JALAL e.g Al-An’am [6/62]; Al-Yunus [10/30,32]; Al-Hajj [22/61,62]; Al-Kahf [18/44]; Al-Nûr [24/25]; Al-Loqman [31/30]; At-TâHâ [20/114].

The Name, Al-Haqq, is in relation with the Names, Al-Awwal(The First), Al-Akhir (The Last), Al-Baqi( The Everlasting one), Al-Warith (The Inheritor of All) and Al-Hayy( The Ever living one) in terms of meaning.

Narrated Ibn ‘Abbas:

The Prophet used to invoke Allah at night, saying, “O Allah: All the Praises are for You: You are the Lord of the Heavens and the Earth. All the Praises are for You; You are the Maintainer of the Heaven and the Earth and whatever is in them. All the Praises are for You; You are the Light of the Heavens and the Earth. Your Word is the Truth(Haqq), and Your Promise is the Truth(Haqq), and the Meeting with You is the Truth(Haqq), and Paradise is the Truth(Haqq), and the (Hell) Fire is the Truth(Haqq), and the Hour is the Truth(Haqq). O Allah! I surrender myself to You, and I believe in You and I depend upon You, and I repent to You and with You (Your evidences) I stand against my opponents, and to you I leave the judgment (for those who refuse my message). O Allah! Forgive me my sins that I did in the past or will do in the future, and also the sins I did in secret or in public. You are my only God (Whom I worship) and there is no other God for me (i.e. I worship none but You).” (Bukhari-Tawheed- Volume 9, Book 93, Number 482 )

 

Rasûlullah (Sallallahu alaihi was sallam) : “Labbaika yâ Ilâhu’l-Haqq ! : I am ready to obey your orders! Oh True God!”. (Ibni Mâja, Manasiq, 15; Nasâî, hajj, 54)

 

Haqq(Truth) in Islam: It means the existence which is truly existent(mawjud) in this world and its existence is unchanging and constant, and  the knowledge, judgement(Hükm) and the word befitting to reality. When the being of the existents(mawjuds) is haqq, ALLAHU DHU’L-JALAL who is the one who makes them exist is  Haqqu’l-Haqq(Truth of the Truth) and He is the source and essence of absolute truth(Haqq). While the truthness(being haqq) of existence(mawjudat) is only relative, Truthness(being Haqq) of the one who is Wajibu’l-Wujud is the “real-actual-essential-origin (Asl)”.

 

Haqq in Tasawwuf is ALLAHU DHU’L-JALAL. In the journey of this life, in the servanthood test, it is what we call secret of zero of the spiritual journey (sayr-u-sulook); it is to know, find and live Haqqa’l yakîn in Truth(Haqq), from Truth(Haqq), to Truth(Haqq), with Truth(Haqq).

 

In the quadrical system: Let’s have a look at the foursome of Shariat- Tariqat-Marifat- Haqiqat, to see what that means:

Now lets put our hands to our heart and conscience:

We receive from Haqq and give to the Creation(Halq).”

Our Zaheer(Manifested-Outer) is Creation(Halq), and Batιn(Unmanifested-Inner) is Haqq”,

Let’s determine the coordinates of the words like “Ana’l-Haqq: I am the TRUTH” on the map of Enlightenment(Kamalat), and think about where it is said and the reality(asl) of this subject… When we ask “What do you understand of the term, ‘book’?” , imagine the answers of the illiterate, primary school student, secondary school student, high school student , the university student and the students which are between those classes…

It is from the main principals of Muhammadi Tasawwuf that the pictures being truths(haqqs) and the Painter being the Truth(Haqq) must not be confused.

 

Lets not forget this that the surface of the arena of the servanthood test has been greased. A waliullah may also slide on this surface as well as the crazy ones…The ones who do not slide on this surface are those who press their feet firmly and sincerely on the foot prints of Rasulullah SAS, the Grace to the worlds(Rahmatan li’l-alamiyn), by his permission…The Word is the father of Sohbat, the grandfather of Zawk , and the forefather of the Hazz [4]…A head is cut by word and saved by word…A person can become mushriq(someone associating a partner with Allah) or true believer(mu’meen)  by word…

 

Hukm is the judgement of doing or not doing of the will of ALLAH (Muradullah-Qadha) as the Command of ALLAH (Amrullah-Qadar). Wisdom(Hikmah) of Hukm is in the Batin(inner-unmanifested). Hukm is the order of servanthood. Trueness of the Hukm and Hikmah(wisdom) is Truth of the TRUTH(Haqqu’l-Haqq). To believe in Truth and do good(hayr) is the Truth of the creation(People-Halq). That is just and right for the creation(People-Halq).  Trying to claim to be the Painter while one is a painting, is really a foolishness. The will of Allah(Muradullah) being  the perfection of servanthood, the will of ALLAHU DHU’L –JALAL is for His servants  to reach maturity as a result by finding perfection(kamal) in this servanthood test. As to this, the Command of ALLAH (Amrullah) are the servanthood  laws which are a necessity in providing and accomplishing this perfection(kamalat). The way of Muhammadi Tasawwuf is not for flying and falling but for walking like a human being. It is a Sirat-i Mustaqim(straight path) without excess(ifrat) and negligence(tefrit). This is an optimum  and moderate way(itidal).

The iceberg coming to realisation of its own solid and icy state,

Leaving the realisation then melting and coming to the canal by flowing in to it,

Coming to the mill wheel by dragging its self headless and footless in this Spiritual Journey(Sayr-u-Sulook),

And grinding the flour of suffering then completing its work and immersing in deep sea. These are the stages of the servant’s divine mission being truth. And calling His servant to account is the right(Haq) of Al-Haqq Taal’a who created His servant for this purpose.

 

In this world, every thing is true/right/fair(Haq) in their own soul(nafs), place, time and state. Knowing the limit of ALLAH , understanding that and confirming to it is also true(haq). Can you establish the relationship between the games of the raw mind saying “Let it be! Let it be not!”, and the Aql-I Salim’s [5]  knowing, believing and living of “Kûn fayakûn: Be and It is [6]” as the Judgement of Truth(Hukm-u Haqq)? Looking from the center (WaHDat:Oneness) to mileu (KaSRat: Plurality, Abundance, Multitude, Plenitude) is true. Looking from the mileu to the center is also true. Of course without exceeding the limits and rights of Lord of the Worlds (Rabbu’l –‘Alamin) and the servant (Abd)..Understanting the manifestation as the Kasrat (Paintings of “1″) Zawk of Wahdat(1)… Satan-ness(shaitan-ness) is to be two things or staying in duality, and this is the life style of the one who does not know and understand the Oneness(WaHDat).  Oneness(Wahdat) is to understand the “Real-Actual-Origin ( ASL)” of “the ONE”. “Kasrat(Plurality-Multitude)” is to live by seeing the relative and temporary reflections(Stamp of formal “1” in every number) of Oneness(Wahdat) in every atom/particle…

 

Rasulullah (SAS) ordered “Pray as if you see ALLAHU DHU’L JALAL“ and his disciples(SaHaBas) asked  “How?”. He said  “Do it like me!”. This is the communication way and rule to (TRUTH)Haqq for the people. Being the TRUTH (AL-HAQQ) is an absolute existence peculiar and belonging only to the Self-Essence-Reality(Dhat) of ALLAHU DHU’L- JALAL. In short, truth of AL-HAQQ is Rububiyyah, and the truth of the people is Ubudiyyah(servanthood). In the world where Truth(Haqq) is the Judge(Hâkim), both the Painter and the Paintings will have truth/right(haq). Hearing, confirming and acting accordingly is the servanthood perfection(Kamalat-i Ubudiyyah) …

GLOSSARY

 

[1] Nur-u-Mim(Nur-u-Muhammad):  Truth of Muhammad (SAW). Noor-u-Mim. Light of Muhammad (SAW). First light created from the Divine Light of Allah(Noorullah). ALLAH creates everything from that light as It is the first manifestation point for the DIVINE LIGHT of ALLAH.That Light upon Light praises ALLAH before and during the creation of heaven and the heavenly and earth and the earthly. The inhabitants of the heavens named that light Ahmad. As his praise of ALLAH is greater than the praise of all that is created, he is called Ahmad al-hamidin- the greatest of givers of praise. The following hadith narrated from Jabir bin Abdullah(r.a) points to Nur-u-Mim(Light of Mim).

 

Narrated from Jabir bin Abdullah (radiyallahu anhu): “O Rasulullah (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam)! May my mother and father be your ransom, shall you tell me of the first thing ALLAH created before all things?” I said.

Rasulullah (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “ O Jabir! Before the material(ashya), from HIS light(Noorullah), He created the Light of your Prophet(NooruNabi).”

And He said that :

“ That light (Noor) used to circulate and get around in the places ALLAH wished by His Power(qudrat). There was not ,at that time, a tablet(Lawh), or a pen(qalam), or a paradise(jannah) , or a hell, or an angel, or a heaven , or a sun, or a moon, or a jinn or a human(ins).”

After that He said : “When ALLAH Taa’la wished to create the creation, HE divided that light(noor) in to four parts:

He created the pen from the first part. He created the tablet(Lawh) from the second part. He created throne(Arsh) from the third part. He split up the fourth part and made it four parts: He created the heavens from the first one. He created the earth from the second one. He created the paradise and hell from the third one. He split up(taqsim)the fourth part and divided in to four parts again : He created the light of the eyes of the believers(mumeens) from the first one. From the second one, He created the light of their hearts and that means ‘to know ALLAH’. From the third one, He created the light of their tounges and that is ‘Kalimah-i-Tawheed(La ilaha illa ALLAH: There is no GOD but ALLAH)’….”

[2] Mana (Ma’Na’): Ma’na’ MeaNs MeaNing. It is the inner face of something. Inner hearings e.g. notion, thought. Ma’na is the reason(SaBab) for an action to occur.

 

[3] DawrÂN- SairÂN- JawlÂN- KhairÂN:

DawrÂN (Arabic): Circulation, world of matters, city of matters, life of world.

SairÂN (Arabic): to be watching around and moving around.

JawlÂN (Arabic): not being able to stop and moving around,

KhairÂN (Arabic): to be filled with admiration, admirer, fan. Moment of Good.

 

[4] Word-Sohbat-Zawk-Hazz :

Kelâm(Speech):

It is word in Shariat

Sohbat in Tariqat

Zawk in Marifat

Hazz in Haqiqat

 

Knowledge(Ilm) is essential in ‘Word’

Adab( Manner) is essential  in ‘Sohbat’

Wisdom (Irfan) is essential  in ‘Zawk’

Erkan is essential  in ‘Hazz’.

 

Zawk : It comes from the root , Z’aq: to have a taste of something. When all mind (aql) and senses will reach to a saturation point, a peak point, That is called ‘zawk’.

Hazz: To live this result actually .

 

[5] ‘Aql-i SaLiM: The ‘aql(mind/reason/wisdom) is a power which examines and distinguishes the good and bad influences coming from the brain, satan, and the nafs. During this process, if it can choose the good, it is called ”Aql-i salim’.

 

[6] Kûn fayakûn: ‘Kûn’ is translated as ‘Be’ in English. It is the sacred command of ALLAH mentioned in Qur’an. But this word is very deep in meaning. Right  at this moment(AN), We and everything that we perceive is within this “KûN” as well. Everything is created in “ÂN” with that sacred commANd of ALLAH.

 

“… iza kada amran fa innama yakulu lahu KUN  FA YAKUN.” Qur’an [3/47]

“…if He decreeth a thing, He saith unto it only: ‘Be’ and it is.”  Qur’an [3/47]

 

Moment , “ÂN” is a part of the sacred command KûN. ‘Kûn’ means ‘Be’ in English.Everything is created in “ÂN” with that sacred commANd of ALLAH. ÂN is Impartible Indivisible Particle of Time(ZamÂn). The seed of Time in Sha’anullah, which is perceived as Time in this world of testimony(‘alam al-shahada). “ÂN” is the Essence and Reality of Time. Time is a Tool but Aim is to reach “ÂN”.

Time is a perception and conjecture of “ÂN”s by our minds.  That conjecture is called ‘zANn’. Time is called ZamAN in Turkish. Zam means ‘rise or increase’. So increasing AN’s are perceived as Time (ZamAN ) by our minds. At every “ÂN”, everything becomes non-existent and re-created again. But the mind perceives this as continual, in fact everything goes and comes, on and off in every “ÂN”. That is why the ones who watch this in the screen of their minds are always in conjecture(zANn). Allah knows best…

In the mind of human being,

an event(Olay) is born from the relation of two things,

time(ZamÂn)  is born from the relation of two events, and

conjecture(ZaNN) is born from the relation of two times and know that this is the basis of the Servanthood Test…

 

 Wa in tuti’aksara men fi al’ardi yudilluka an sabilillah iy yattabiuna illaz zANna wa in hum illa yakhrusuna: Wert thou to follow the common run of those on earth, they will lead thee from the way of Allah. They follow nothing but conjecture: they do nothing but lie “ (Qur’an [6/116])
