GOLDEN WORDS OF A SUFI SHEIKH - WORD NO.314
FIRKA-I NAJIYA:
My son, the human generation consists of seventy-three groups [1]. Three of them say they have the faith, certitude, and determination in God which is known as iman. Of these three groups, the people in one group say they love land, gold, and women — and also God.
Those in the second group, although they have faith in God, place their trust in themselves, their titles, and their own abilities. They praise themselves and always claim that their actions are correct.
IBTIDANAMA of SULTAN WALAD (K.S)
BY THE NAME OF ALLAH (God), THE MOST GRACIOUS, MOST MERCIFUL
WE ASK FOR HELP FROM ONLY HIM
Haqq (The Truth) [1] Almighty is more evident than all the creatures, and all the beings, and the most hidden because it is extremely evident. He is hidden because of manifesting so much. Because whether it is a human being or another creature, it is possible for it to be known by its attributes/qualities. For instance, when you see the face of a man, if they ask you who that is, you say I don’t know him, but if you speak with him, go with him, after you saw his works and heard his words, having known his morals (akhlaq) and witnessed his skills, “I know him very well” you say. But the things which you have seen from him and accepted as a reason of this knowing, are not his forms in reality, but his featureless spiritual meaning (ma’na: see number [7] below). Now, a man’s morals (akhlaq) that belong to his spiritual meaning (ma’na), have appeared a little, then how come while the whole of creation are the acts (af’al), states (ahwal) and signs/works (asar) of the Truth (Haqq), He (God) remains hidden?

People are not only nourished by bread but also nourished by good words and “nasihats” (advice, counselling, guidance, admonishing) too.
The cane in the wicker does not turn in to sugar.
May you ask the sugar factory experts and see.
The crow doesn’t know the secret of the nightingale,
it can never know.
If it knew, it would sing like it.
It (the crow) is a bird, and it (the nightingale) is a bird too.
The eye of the fragrance of the rose is the nose.
The eye of the voice is the ear.
The eyes of the bitter and the sweet are the palate and the mouth.
It is impossible to see the face of the man by ear.
The sound is not heard by eye.
The outer (Zahiri: manifested) ear doesn’t hear the voice of the “Shukr” [1].
The one being “Sami” and “Alim” hears [2].

“Let’s not forget that as the sea shell tolerated less by patience, enthusiasm and by being far from rebellion and objection in the bottom of the sea, Allah filled its inner with the PEARL.

ZAHIRI AND BATINI ALIMS
The Zahiri Alims (Exoteric scholars) are the doctors for the outer sicknesses about “ibadat (worship)” and “muamalat (rulings/laws governing human acts and relations towards each other or the financial, economic and human relations between communities in fiqh)”. These are matters related to the world (Dunya), and they remain in the world. However, there is neither worship nor are there “muamalat” in the hereafter (akhirat)…
Their rewards are in accordance with their ‘ikhlas (sincerity)’.

THE BATTLE OF BADR WITHIN YOU

Hadrat Bayazid-i Bistami went to Hajj.
He approached the Kaabah like that.
Kaabah is appearing from a distance.
But he turns back, Hadrat Bayazid-i Bistami.
He went to Hajj 13 times.
He came back 13 times without making a “tawaf”.
He said, “I couldn’t be clean enough yet”.
A great friend of ALLAH (waliyullah) is saying this!
But their cleanliness is not like ours.
On the 14th time, he entered Hajj and he could find the strength in himself.
AND RAISED HIGH THY DHIKR
“I have not remembered My own Name unless I remembered your name together with My Name!”

WILTED HEART
The similitude of the things that people collect from the beach of this world is like broken skulls, bones and pile of grave soil collected from a graveyard. How important is what Rumi (k.s) is saying below for those who come to the presence of Haqq with these in their hearts and could not empty their hearts from Masiwa(anything other than Haqq) and could not turn their hearts in to a rose garden:
