PROPHET MUHAMMAD’S RELATIONSHIPS WITH HIS FAMILY AND RELATIVES

Prophet Muhammad set up principles based on the Quran to create an order in social life. A few of these principles include the brotherhood of all Muslims, helping one another and solidarity amongst people as well as putting up a shared stand against injustice. Along with these, there are other practical examples that the Prophet modelled himself and encouraged all Muslims to emulate. Some of these are equal treatment of all Muslims regardless of whether they are advantaged or disadvantaged, rich or poor, materialization of a Muslim brotherhood between Ansar and Muhajir as an institution of mutual solidarity and continued support, encouragement for helping each other, exchanging gifts and spreading salam (saying ‘peace be upon you’). All of these measures and principles are geared towards the creation of a generally harmonized and peaceful society.

Love like a Knot

Prophet Muhammad is an example for people of every social status and walk of life. Spouses leading a family life with their wives and children can also gather a great deal of lessons and examples from his life. The Prophet received with patience and a warm disposition any possible jealousy, rivalry, and trying behavior coming from his wives. He never resorted to reproach or violence. He treated his wives in a very warm and sincere fashion, seeing them as his confidants and those with whom he shared his pain and his joy. He gave his wives’ dowry to them at the time of their marriage and conversed with them both as a group and individually, consulting them on matters concerning them. He displayed affection towards each and every member of his family and all his wives, in addition to those close to his family, complimenting them and showing them respect. He was always good towards his wives and responded with understanding when faced with their jealousy, and he helped them with household duties. Read the rest of this entry »

THE LOVE

Posted by: meryemnur   in ALLAH (God) J.J, Divine Love (Ilahi Ashq), Islam

The Love

When you find the love, you find yourself. The secret is in the love. You are the love, not another. Everything is in the love, and everyone needs the love. If you find this, what more could you want? When you know, what could you want? When you have the knowledge of the love, you feel peace in your heart. The jewels are inside you. This is the holy meaning. When you understand, then you are the meaning, the holy meaning. But look and reach so that you find every meaning and do not hesitate because inside every meaning is the quality of the love. The love has seven qualities and this love knows no differences.

Leave everything outside that is not useful and give everything to God to live inside His garden of love.  Remember the name of God at every waking moment, and you will find Him beside you, to help you to walk in the way. Be courteous with everyone you meet.  Give them mercy to help them to know the meaning of this love.  Give and listen to everyone who speaks to you.  Listen with the ear of your heart because this is the voice of God speaking to you, trying to help you to know Him.  If you hear another voice, it is wrong. Open your heart to God and He will give you everything. Then your heart will feel quiet and you will only see the love, only the love. Read the rest of this entry »

OMAR BIN KHATTAB (R.A) AND CHAPTER AL-HAQQA

Rasulullah sallallahu alaihi wa sallam had prayed to Allah in Daru’l-Arkam on Monday:

“Oh Allah! Make Islam aziz (victorious) and reinforce it by one of those two men, who is the dearest one to you, Abu Jahl or Omar B.Hattab, ” Read the rest of this entry »

Health and Free Time

As reported by Ibn Abbas, Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said:

Health and free time are two great blessings the benefits of which most people are deceived about.”

This hadith invites us to consciously make use of the “time” that starts with our birth and ends with our death in the best way. It focuses our attention on the two important blessings which we possess and use selfishly, unaware of their value or destiny: Health and free time. Is it not meaningful that of all the blessings that flow through our hands these two were brought to the fore? We are speaking of two important values that act as springboards in the development of physical and spiritual values. Without health there are many forms of worship that we cannot perform and we encounter difficulties in our social life. If we do not have any free time in which to be on our own, we cannot proceed on the spiritual journey. Read the rest of this entry »

On Not Complaining

Posted by: meryemnur   in Abd al-Qadir al-Jilani (K.S.), ALLAH (God) J.J, Islam

Eighteenth Discourse from Futuh al-Ghaib

                              On Not Complaining

The Shaikh (may Allah be well pleased with him, and grant him contentment) said:

Let me give you a piece of advice: Never complain to anyone about your luck, whether he be friend or foe, and do not accuse the Lord (Almighty and Glorious is He) of treating you badly and making you suffer misfortune. You should rather proclaim your blessings and your gratitude. Better even to tell a lie by expressing gratitude for a benefit you have not received, than to state the plain fact of your situation truthfully but as a complaint. Who is totally without the grace of Allah (Almighty and Glorious is He)? Allah (Exalted is He) has said:

And if you count the favor of Allah, you will never add it up. (16:18)
